Shawn formerly worked as a professional chef for 18 years until the restaurant where he worked closed.  He decided to follow his passion for animals and pursue grooming school. Shawn attended A+ Grooming Academy in Gray, Maine.  Since his completion of the grooming program, he has worked full-time in a busy salon in Brunswick.  Shawn and his family have recently relocated from Brunswick to Gardiner.  He and his wife Tamara and their 14 year old cat, Moochie are excited about their new environment and about joining our team here at, At Home Veterinary Care.  Shawn will be providing a full line of grooming services for us here at our office.

We offer grooming for all breeds of dogs and cats.  Our full service includes full bath, nail trim (clipping or grinding), ear cleaning and plucking (if needed), light brush out and fur clipping.  We also offer a package for in-between grooming appointments when only a bath is necessary.  Our Basic Bath Package includes all to the above with exclusion of the fur clipping. Pets are kept in well ventilated kennels with water and a walk outside if they stay with us for 3 hours or more.  Pets can be sedated for grooming, if necessary and are monitored by a licensed technician while under sedation.  Your pets will be treated like our own while in our care, whether they are here for a few hours for a cut or all day while you work or play.
